Whisker Haven Sanctuary · Portland, OR · Est. 2018
We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats in need — giving each one the love, patience, and second chance they deserve.
Our Mission
Whisker Haven began with a single stray cat found in a Portland alley and an overwhelming conviction that every feline life matters. What started in a spare bedroom has grown into a full sanctuary — home to over forty residents at any given time, each one waiting for the family they deserve.
We believe in slow, compassionate rehabilitation. No cat is rushed. No story is too complicated. Our volunteers give their time, their laps, and their hearts — because that is exactly what these animals need to trust again.

Each one has a name, a story, and a whole heart to give. Could yours be the home they have been waiting for?
Featured Resident
"She came to us as a kitten, found in a storm drain in January. Too small to eat on her own, too frightened to be touched. Today she greets every visitor at the door. Her journey is proof that love — even when offered slowly — always reaches."
Fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and endlessly ready to make herself at home on your lap. Applications are open — and she already knows she belongs with you.

Make a Difference
Every paw saved starts with a person who cared. Here is how you can be that person.
Give a few hours a week to socialize cats, assist with feeding, or help process adoptions. Your time is one of the most meaningful gifts you can offer.
Get StartedOpen your home temporarily to a cat in need. Fosters are especially vital for kittens, shy cats, and those recovering from illness or trauma.
